Gear for the wet.

Field kit for the wet season and the jungle past it. It drains, it holds up in the scrub, and the bloke who designed it carried it first.

If it can't take the wet, it doesn't leave the bench.

The Bench

Where the kit gets made, flogged in the wet, and the nonsense gets posted. The prototypes, the field shots, the whole story. This is the back end of it.

Issued kit gives up in the wet. This doesn't.

Viva La RAR started in the scrub, watching good blokes flog gear that was never built for the wet. Webbing that stays soaked. Packs that hold water instead of draining it. Kit drawn up by people who never had to carry it through Tully.

So I started making my own, then making it for the blokes next to me. I draw it and I make it, or I make it with people I trust and had a hand in. If I had no part in it, it isn't on this site.

Yearn.
Action.

Everyone means to sort their kit. Most leave it till they're already out there: wet, miles from anywhere, wishing they had. Yearn is the wanting. Action is being squared away before you step off. Sort it while it's still easy.
